This is an essential tool for students of the Irish Leaving Cert from CareersPortal.ie It calculates your CAO points based on your subject results. It’s quick and easy. You can input as many subjects as you want from Higher and Ordinary papers and the calculator will work out your top 6 scores as used by the CAO. It is for students who sit the Leaving Cert in 2017 and after.
Notes:
1. LCVP grades and the 25 bonus points for Maths are included.
2. We have not included Foundation level points as these may not be accepted by all colleges and the results may be misleading.
A menu in the App provides a direct link to the CareersPortal CAO CourseFinder where you can search for the latest information on all current courses.
You can also use this link to find the first round points when they are published at 06:00 on results day, and then send your results to your friends and family using the built in sms/text feature.
